My research project will introduce several strategies to deal with Goleta Beach erosion, including rock revetment, beach nourishment, managed retreats and the combination of all. I will also analyze both the advantages and disadvantages of these approaches. However, coastal environment is higly dynamic and therefore there is no single best option in dealing with Goleta Beach erosion, and various combinations of all the strategies are required based on the geographic locations on Goleta Beach.
